At White Willow Recording Studio in Wolverhampton, private drum tuition is offered by our in house drummer, Ben Argyle. 

 

He has worked with various artists and has a thorough understanding of how his education, turned into knowledge, is to be conveyed in real life situations and applications to help you become the best you can be at drums.

 

Ben offers services from working through grades, an approach to recording versus live playing, musical choices and the "how" and "why" behind them, as well as an innovative approach to forging a unique playing style, whilst understanding how those elements best serve and support a band or artist.

What to expect from your drum lesson

Parents and students can expect a weekly check in with Ben Argyle as to understand the current progress that has been made in their weekly drum lessons and to ensure that they are on target with their practice routine. 

​

Grades are also available to students wishing to learn. Ben Argyle  caters to both Trinity and Rockschool. 

​

Ben Argyle also recognises the importance of efficiency of technique and the use of utilising the body in an ergonomic manner. 

​

This will be covered as well as such other things as;

  • Tools for authenticity and creativity on the drum kit

  • Learn your favourite songs

  • Building speed by being relaxed 

  • Ergonomics of your relationship to the drums

  • Short but focused daily practice sessions

  • How to write drum parts for your band

  • How to perform live

  • An approach to recording drums

  • Why you should record yourself playing drums

  • Building confidence on the drums

  • Building relationships with in the music industry

  • Understanding what equipment to use and buy. 

 

 

 White Willow Recording Studio is an established recording studio in Wolverhampton, West Midlands that has a plethora of industry standard equipment. Students will have access to a  professional Sonor AQX acoustic drum kit and  Audiotechnica headphones for their drum lesson.
